As a growing company, we are always looking for talented new individuals to become part of the ADS team. You can see current job openings at www.adsalarm.com. Depending on the position, benefits can include a 401K, tuition reimbursement, paid holidays, company vehicle, company fuel card, and training.
Although not a traditional benefit, ADS has taken pride in never laying off a single employee in over 40 years.
Yes. I work for Alarm Detection Systems, Inc.
This blog is designed to educate, entertain, and serve as a forum for discussing Alarm Detection System, Inc.'s products, service and award-winning alarm monitoring!
Also, I hope that this blog attracts some great new employees. ADS is a great place to work and the company is always interested in talented, hard-working individuals.
We are located in Aurora, Illinois and do the vast majority of our business in the greater Chicagoland area (Illinois, Wisconsin, & Indiana). If you live outside of our service area, we would be happy to provide a recommendation for an alarm company in your region. In any case, if there is a question that you have, a topic you'd like addressed on this blog, or an ADS service that you are interested in, please contact me at Security@adsalarm.com!

How can I get experience if everyone is looking for experience? Can anyone help me with my issue? I'm just looking for a lead into the industry so I could get experience.
I understand your frustration. What is your field(s) of interest in the alarm industry? Without knowing that, it is difficult to talk about getting into the alarm industry.
At ADS, for example, we have positions that vary greatly. We have dispatch operators, customer service representatives, sales consultants, field technicians, fire inspectors, alarm installers, locksmiths, technical support, computer/IT persons, phone operators, automobile mechanics, building/grounds, stockroom employees, accountants, human resources, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
I'm sure that I'm missing a few. Within these areas, there are various positions ranging from entry-level to decades of experience.
Maybe you can take pride in never laying any employee off in over 40 years, but how many have you fired in that same amount of time? How conveniently you failed to mention that.
I don't know how many people have been fired in the 40+ year history of the company. But, what company of similar size to ADS would be able to say that hasn't fired employees? Still, we're proud that in difficult economic times, we don't lay people off. We work very hard to keep people working and most people who work here appreciate that.
